Custom Short-Form Social Media Videos for Summer Sundays Legacy Square Event Series
I joined the Renton Downtown Partnership (RDP) in July 2026, just a few weeks before the organization’s inaugural Summer Sundays Legacy Square event series. The series ran for seven consecutive Sundays from early August through mid-September, giving local businesses and community organizations an opportunity to host events at the newly opened Legacy Square community park.
One of the first projects I took the initiative to organize at RDP was a dedicated social media content day at Legacy Square. Since it was the only opportunity for event organizers to have free access to the park before the series began, I coordinated a day where organizers could capture photos and video to use in their own marketing and promotional efforts.
For RDP, I also captured video interviews with participating organizers, giving them an opportunity to introduce their organizations and preview what attendees could expect at their upcoming events. I then edited the footage into short-form videos for RDP’s Instagram and Facebook channels. Chyron captions were added to each video to make them ADA accessible.
Using Final Cut Pro, I handled the video editing and production, while Adobe Photoshop was used to create supporting graphics, including the RDP watermark, name and title plates, event flyer graphics, and the RDP logo bumper featured at the end of each video.
Below are a few examples of the videos I created, featuring a mix of content captured during the pre-event social media day and footage from the Summer Sundays events themselves.
